Reception buying decisions
AI receptionists under $100: which plan fits the work?
A residential service owner with a $100 monthly ceiling needs two answers: whether a plan performs the required phone task, and whether the whole bill can stay within that ceiling. A low starting price does not establish either answer.

Compare the unit before the allowance
| Public offer | Advertised monthly base and unit | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Goodcall Starter | $79; 100 unique customers, then $0.79 each | Unique customers are not calls or minutes; repeat callers affect this comparison differently |
| Rosie Professional | $49; 250 minutes | Includes sending an appointment link; direct calendar booking and transfers are listed on the $149 Scale plan |
| Revo Solo | $87.50 launch offer; 100 minutes; displayed list price $175 | Introductory base, not a permanent under-$100 commitment; team transfers and dedicated onboarding are excluded |
These are starting offers, not equivalent packages. Do not convert Goodcall's approximate call illustration into a contractual call allowance. Do not describe a texted booking link as an appointment completed by the receptionist.

| Question | Your answer to obtain |
|---|---|
| Required result | Message, booking link, supported confirmed appointment, or transfer? |
| Expected workload | Distinct callers, calls and minutes from the same representative period |
| Included task | Exact plan that supplies the required result |
| Full recurring cost | Base, additional usage, required add-ons, applicable taxes and fees |
| First bill | Any setup, number or other initial charge |
| Renewal | Promotion end, ordinary price, renewal term and cancellation process |
| Budget control | Available warning or cap, what it stops, and what happens to callers |
For example, an owner who only needs a callback request may consider a message-taking offer. An owner who needs the caller connected to an employee must first establish transfer eligibility. A cheaper plan that cannot perform that task is not a budget solution.
Keep the ceiling meaningful after purchase
Leave room between the base and your ceiling for any charge established by the actual offer. Ask how usage is counted, including short calls, repeated calls and test calls. Obtain a written answer if the pricing page leaves it open. Do not assume a provider has a hard spending cap.
Revo's displayed launch price can qualify for an initial shortlist, but its displayed list price exceeds this budget. Confirm promotion eligibility, duration and renewal price before choosing it for a continuing $100 ceiling. If the ordinary cost does not fit, exclude it rather than relying on an introductory figure.
Frequently asked questions
Is a $79 plan necessarily cheaper than a $49 plan?
No. Apply the actual units and required tasks to the same workload. Different allowances cannot be compared by their headline count alone.
Does “under $100” mean the final bill is guaranteed below $100?
No. This guide identifies advertised bases and their limits. Obtain a complete quote for your expected use.
