Reception buying decisions
Aircall AI Voice Agent: what reception package are you buying?
A service office evaluating Aircall AI Voice Agent should first choose the purchase route: an agent alongside an existing phone arrangement, or an agent within a broader Aircall workspace. Do not price autonomous answering by automatically adding licenses intended for a different product.

Separate autonomous reception from employee assistance
Aircall's pricing says AI Voice Agents can operate with or without a phone system and displays a $100 monthly minimum. Its receptionist offer is an incoming-call use case. Coaching, transcription and analytics for human employees are separate reasons to buy platform capabilities.
The reviewed pricing page lists native numbers and business telephony, while its billing help separates agent usage from telephony and describes exceptions. This guide does not resolve that conflict or turn the minimum into an all-in quote. Request the current applicable agent package, required subscriptions, numbers, telephony charges and usage rates in writing. Do not impose the Essentials phone product's user minimum on a standalone agent without confirming that requirement.
Compare the two purchase routes on one sheet
| Requirement | Standalone or existing-phone route | Broader phone-workspace route |
|---|---|---|
| Business number | Supported connection, number control and charges | Included or separately charged number and routing |
| Agent usage | Unit, minimum, allowance and additional usage | Same questions; do not assume phone seats include agent usage |
| Team handoff | Destination outside the agent and unavailable outcome | Which employees or queues receive context? |
| Connected action | Exact supported system and authority | Exact selected integration and package entitlement |
| Administration | Who maintains agent and phone instructions? | Which roles own each part of the workspace? |
Leave an unanswered cell open. A product tour of connected actions does not establish a connection to your particular scheduling or job system.
Test the incoming task a contractor actually needs
For a fictional garage-door company, request a routine intake demonstration while employees are unavailable. Ask the agent for a repair price absent from the approved material, then request a person. Inspect the record, configured handoff and result when no recipient answers.
If calendar booking matters, inspect the actual supported result and its authority. A captured request is not a confirmed technician visit. If the proposal also includes outbound work or other channels, price and authorize those separately; they are not necessary assumptions for an inbound reception comparison.
Compare Revo within its published scope
Revo's current plans publish AI answering, business instructions, supported booking and summaries, with plan-specific transfers. This guide establishes no Aircall integration, equivalent connected actions, language count or outbound agent for Revo. Compare a supported incoming workflow and its full price before judging the larger platforms.
Frequently asked questions
Must I buy three Aircall phone licenses to use an agent?
The reviewed agent pricing supports a route with or without the phone system. Confirm the actual prerequisites rather than importing another product's minimum.
Does the $100 minimum establish all telephony charges?
No. The reviewed materials leave that point inconsistent; obtain the account-specific written offer.
