AnswerMTI Pricing: Minute Plans for Contractors

For a contractor buying AnswerMTI, the lowest monthly fee is only one part of the budget. Start with the minutes you expect the answering service to handle, then compare the allowance and additional-minute rate.

Read the base fee together with the allowance

AnswerMTI’s advertised plans are:

PlanMonthly baseIncluded minutesAdditional minute
Business$470$1.37
Growth$177125$1.30
Premium$296225$1.28

Custom plans are available by quote. The Business base includes no minutes. The published offer describes month-to-month service with 30 days’ notice to stop. Confirm your account’s actual usage calculation and final charges before purchasing. These prices are a November 2, 2026 snapshot. [1]

Estimate the work you would forward

Use the portion of your call log the service would actually receive. An office forwarding unanswered calls needs a different estimate from one forwarding its entire main line.

For a fictional HVAC shop, separate new service requests from existing-job questions and other calls. An estimate request may require more discussion than a quick callback message. A count of calls alone will not tell the office how many handled minutes to budget.

Ask AnswerMTI to explain rounding, transfers and any other time included in the usage calculation. Those questions help you turn a rate card into an account-specific estimate; they are not claims that each activity carries a separate fee.

One illustrative budget, using the same minutes

At an assumed 100 billable minutes in one month, base-plus-minute arithmetic gives $184 for Business, $177 for Growth and $296 for Premium. That calculation applies the displayed rates and allowances only. It is not a quote or a customer result, and excludes any tax or other account-specific charge. [1]

This example shows why the lowest base fee need not give the lowest total for a particular workload. Repeat the comparison with your own expected minutes and ask for the proposed invoice treatment in writing.

Match live answering to the contractor’s instructions

AnswerMTI’s contractor page describes live answering, custom scripts, caller information and contact with on-call staff. Agree on the work your account will perform before comparing it with an AI service. [2]

For an illustrative electrical office, decide which requests can receive a routine appointment and which need your team’s callback. Supply the approved questions and the contact who may authorize the next step. A caller’s urgent description should not become an arrival promise the office has not approved.

Ask the provider to demonstrate your proposed flow. Review what the office receives and what the caller is told. This is a suggested evaluation, not a claim that the service has been tested here.

Compare with Revo’s AI reception

Revo describes AI reception, lead intake, routing and scheduling. That establishes a different answering model from staffed reception, without establishing identical task scope. Check the current Revo plan and supported setup against the same requests and expected workload. [3]

Frequently asked questions

Does the $47 plan include receptionist minutes? No. The displayed Business plan has zero included minutes, with usage charged at its stated rate. [1]

Can a larger allowance be cheaper? It can for a particular workload, as the illustrative calculation shows. Compare the full bill at your expected usage, then confirm the quote.

What should a contractor confirm before switching? The tasks the provider may complete, how handled time is charged, the next step for callers and the account’s exit notice. Keep your office responsible for commitments it has not delegated.
