Bookipi AI Receptionist: check the add-on and call units

Bookipi combines several business tools under one brand. Its AI Receptionist has its own subscription and usage questions. Before comparing it with another answering service, establish which add-on you are buying, how the supplier counts a handled call and where an appointment or unresolved request actually goes.
Separate the receptionist from the suite subscription
Bookipi’s pricing page lists AI Receptionist under add-ons, apart from Free, Starter and Professional. It shows US$199 per month, no yearly plan, and availability in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. A suite plan’s document allowance does not establish an included receptionist subscription. Bookipi pricing
Build a short purchase list for the jobs you intend the software to do. Put incoming answering, invoicing, website tools and other proposed products on separate lines. Mark a requirement included only when the applicable subscription explicitly establishes it. A shared brand or login is not proof that every paid feature comes together.
Keep the published price discrepancy visible
The separate receptionist FAQ states US$199.99 per month and 500 incoming calls, while the pricing card states US$199. The two figures were both visible in official sources reviewed October 28, 2026. Preserve that discrepancy and ask Bookipi to confirm the applicable current amount, currency and charges before committing. Do not silently substitute one figure for the other. Bookipi AI Receptionist FAQ
A discrepancy log only needs a source link, observation date, conflicting statement and written answer. Keep the answer with the quote so the office can explain the assumption used in its budget. This guide is not a checkout quote and supplies no conclusion about which page takes precedence.
Request a call-unit example before budgeting by calls
The FAQ describes calls from 15 seconds to 4 minutes as one unit and calls below 15 seconds as not counted. Its longer-call wording refers both to additional minutes and to four-minute increments. Those descriptions do not provide a sufficiently clear basis for an independent long-call calculation.
Use this original request: “Please show how a ten-second, two-minute, five-minute and eight-minute incoming call affects our allowance. State the treatment at the exact time boundaries and after the allowance is used. Please distinguish a physical call from the usage units charged.”
Record the returned calculation beside each duration. Do not assume 500 physical calls always mean 500 billable units. A repeat caller also remains a repeat contact, not another customer or job. Keep the usage reconciliation and customer-outcome records separate.
Check whether scheduling is enabled or details are recorded
The FAQ distinguishes enabled scheduling, which adds appointments to Bookipi Scheduler, from disabled scheduling, which records appointment details without scheduling them. Confirm the intended setting and resulting record; a conversation about a possible time is not by itself a confirmed visit.
The official product page describes a dashboard with call information and a path for messages requiring follow-up. Use that as a demonstration target rather than proof that any proposed workflow has been tested. Bookipi AI Receptionist
Original fictional case: a homeowner requests a visit but then changes the service location. Ask where the corrected address appears and whether an appointment remains requested or confirmed. Have the office identify the authoritative record and the person who must resolve any mismatch before a crew is committed.
Run a small operational decision worksheet
Complete the following original worksheet with verified answers before changing your business number’s route. Unknown is a useful status; it should not become an assumed feature.
- Purchase: receptionist subscription, selected region, confirmed price and separate suite products required.
- Metering: short-call boundary, long-call examples, allowance reset and treatment after allowance exhaustion.
- Call handling: approved service scope, questions, business hours and instructions for unsupported requests.
- Scheduling: enabled or disabled, appointment types and where the confirmed record is found.
- Office work: who checks messages, corrects business information and acts on unresolved requests.
- Acceptance: written answers, proposed test case and the authorized person deciding whether the workflow is ready.
Compare only the Revo function you actually need
Revo’s current pricing describes AI answering, own-script rules, booking and summaries. Transfers to the customer’s own team are listed on eligible plans. Those descriptions do not establish a Bookipi connection, equivalent suite tools or an identical call-unit model. Revo plans
Compare the request the office receives, the appointment evidence and the work still requiring a person. Then compare the applicable subscription and metering rules. A larger published call allowance cannot establish lower cost until its unit definition is clear. This guide claims no hands-on reliability result, star rating or guaranteed customer outcome.
Questions
Is Bookipi AI Receptionist included because the suite has a free plan?
No. The pricing page presents the receptionist as an add-on. Confirm its subscription separately from document and other suite features.
Should I budget $199 or $199.99?
Keep both dated published figures visible and obtain Bookipi’s current written confirmation rather than treating this article as a quote.
