Appointment reminders
Automated appointment reminders vs booking confirmation
An automated appointment reminder is a scheduled outbound communication about an existing appointment. It is different from collecting a time request or confirming a booking during an incoming call.
01 / Appointment reminders
Use the confirmed appointment as the source.
A reminder should refer to an appointment that actually exists in the business’s scheduling system. Confirm the customer contact, time zone and visit details before scheduling a message. An unaccepted request for a time is not enough to tell a customer a visit is booked.
Keep the system of record and its owner clear. When an appointment changes or is canceled, the pending reminder must follow that change through the supported workflow. Otherwise a message can describe an obsolete visit even though it was scheduled correctly at first.
02 / Appointment reminders
Review delivery, cancellation and replies.
A scheduled message and a delivered message are different states. Twilio’s official messaging documentation, for example, describes scheduling and cancellation as distinct controls and documents send-time failures. Confirm the corresponding behavior of the actual system your business uses.
Decide who handles replies requesting a new time or reporting a problem. Check the provider’s messaging and opt-out requirements before use. Review the content for unnecessary personal details and use authorized tests; do not assume that a reminder proves the customer read it or will attend.

Separate this workflow from Revo’s published offer.
Revo’s website lists appointment booking and SMS follow-up. Those labels do not verify a native scheduled outbound appointment-reminder service. Confirm that specific capability and any supported scheduling connection directly before attributing it to Revo.
Review the incoming booking workflow with Revo and the later reminder workflow with the scheduling or messaging provider. Keep one owner responsible for ensuring the confirmed appointment reaches the supported downstream process. This guide does not claim a particular integration, reminder timing or reduction in missed appointments.
Common questions
Make the next step clear.
Resolve the details that matter to your team and callers.
Is SMS follow-up proof of automated reminders?
No. A follow-up feature does not by itself establish scheduled reminders tied to future appointments. Confirm the exact capability.
Does Revo send scheduled appointment reminders?
This page does not establish that capability. Ask Revo about the current supported setup, and keep reminder scheduling separate from incoming appointment booking.
