Pest-control service shortlist
Best answering services for pest control: compare the work
For a pest-control company, the best answering service depends on whether it must sell an approved plan, change an existing treatment or only capture a request. This shortlist compares Slingshot, Sameday and Rosie using their own documentation checked October 23, 2026. Published by Revo; no controlled performance tests or universal ranking are claimed.

| Service | Distinct documented work | Best reason to shortlist | Must resolve before purchase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slingshot | Pest-trained agents; named pest software; existing-account and payment work | You need staffed account service alongside new sales | Exact software actions, authorization and per-minute quote |
| Sameday | AI pest/property intake, treatments and recurring reschedules | You require a supported pest-service record update | Platform operations, plan amendments and failed-write handling |
| Rosie | Pest answering; plan-specific message, calendar and transfer features | Message taking or the supported calendar workflow is sufficient | Specific pest software and recurring-account changes are unverified |

Slingshot: pest-trained service across new and existing accounts
Slingshot describes pest-trained agents supported by AI, with sales, scheduling, payment collection and customer support. It names Voice for Pest, PestRoutes, PestPac, ServSuite and Briostack. Its FAQ includes existing-customer calls and outbound payment or rescheduling work; communications and recordings are visible in Central Inbox. Pricing is customized per minute; its stated average onboarding is two to three weeks.
Shortlist this documented model when your office wants a person to handle account work as well as new inquiries. Before buying, separate permission to collect a payment from permission to change a plan or waive a fee. Ask it to demonstrate your actual software, account permissions and audit trail; the named list does not prove every action in every account.

Sameday: AI treatment and recurring-service workflows
Sameday’s pest-control page describes AI intake by pest and property type, treatment scheduling and recurring-plan offers. It also describes changing an existing recurring appointment and writing the change back to the CRM. These are vendor-described workflows, not observations from our test calls.
Shortlist it when the desired output is a treatment or recurring-service update in supported software. Ask which operations are enabled for your pest platform and plan. Have it distinguish a first treatment, an inspection and an existing-plan visit: those can require different durations, eligibility and approval. Do not accept a generic calendar event as proof that the correct recurring service was updated.

Rosie: separate message taking from higher-tier scheduling
Rosie has a dedicated pest-control offer. Its pricing distinguishes Professional’s texted appointment link from Scale’s direct calendar booking and warm/live transfers; Growth adds waterfall transfers. The page also lists call summaries, transcripts, recordings and email/text notifications across plans.
Shortlist this when a documented message or supported calendar workflow meets the requirement. The reviewed pest page does not establish a specific native pest-management integration or recurring-plan amendment. If either is essential, ask for a demonstration and written scope before treating it as included. A transfer attempt also does not establish that an on-call employee accepted the request.

Use pest-specific evidence to make the selection
The following is an original proposed evaluation, not a test conducted on these services. Give each finalist the same fictional business rules and compare the delivered records, not its sales language. Supply no real payment or customer data.
Case A: a new caller describes an unidentified pest at a property outside the service area. Look for the original description, the area decision and an appropriate next step; do not require an automated species identification. Case B: an existing quarterly customer wants a date change. Check the customer match and whether the actual recurring visit changes without creating a second initial treatment.
Case C: a customer asks whether a repeat visit is included in a plan. The service should use your authorized policy or leave the decision for your office, rather than inventing a warranty. Case D: an urgent-sounding call reaches an unavailable contact. Record the attempted destination, fallback and owner; a transfer is not a treatment commitment.

Resolve the details that matter to your team and callers.
Is this a ranked performance test?
No. These are documented options organized by the work required. Vendor claims about answering or booking rates were not independently tested.
Which option should handle a plan or treatment dispute?
Confirm the permitted account actions and escalation route. An answering service should not invent an entitlement, treatment recommendation or fee waiver.
