T-Mobile conditional call forwarding setup

T-Mobile’s official short-code documentation distinguishes no-answer, unreachable and busy forwarding. Use the method for the specific condition and confirm that it applies to the business line before changing it.

01 / T-Mobile forwarding

Check the line and destination first.

These instructions concern T-Mobile’s documented wireless calling controls. They do not apply automatically to another carrier, a hosted business system or a landline. Confirm the line’s support and the authorized account owner before making a change.

Obtain the destination through the supported Revo setup and keep the existing conditional route recorded. Conditional forwarding can affect calls that would otherwise reach carrier voicemail. Decide which conditions should use the answering service rather than changing all routes without review.

02 / T-Mobile forwarding

Use the documented condition-specific sequence.

T-Mobile documents **61* for no-answer forwarding, **62* for forwarding when not reachable and **67* for forwarding when busy. For these activation sequences, its instructions specify +1 followed by the destination phone number and then #. Enter the actual authorized destination; do not use a sample number.

The documentation lists ##61#, ##62# and ##67# to turn off those respective settings. It lists ##004# to reset forwarding to its default. Resetting to a default is different from assuming that every forwarding destination is cleared; check the resulting voicemail behavior.

03 / T-Mobile forwarding

Verify the result and rollback path.

Use authorized test calls from another number to check the condition you changed and a call answered normally. Confirm the caller reaches the intended service and your team receives the expected information. Check behavior when the destination cannot receive a call.

If the code is rejected or behavior differs from the intended route, contact T-Mobile rather than substituting another carrier’s code. After deactivation or default reset, retest the original line and voicemail. Check relevant provider charges and restrictions before routing customer traffic.

Common questions

Make the next step clear.

Resolve the details that matter to your team and callers.

Does one code activate every T-Mobile condition?

The official documentation gives separate sequences for no answer, unreachable and busy. Select the intended condition and use its current instructions.

Is ##004# the same as disabling one condition?

It is documented as a default reset. Individual conditions have separate deactivation codes; verify the resulting configuration.
