Conditional forwarding
Conditional call forwarding for business answering
Conditional call forwarding redirects a call when a specified condition occurs, such as no answer, a busy line or an unreachable phone. The supported conditions and activation method depend on the provider and line.
01 / Conditional forwarding
Choose the condition rather than forwarding everything.
Immediate forwarding sends incoming calls to another destination without first trying the original line. Conditional forwarding gives the original line a chance to answer under the selected conditions. A device menu for ordinary forwarding does not necessarily expose every conditional option.
Forwarding changes the route while the original phone service remains in place. A provider migration is a separate decision; use the porting guide to review that process. Confirm the supported connection method directly with Revo before changing the existing number arrangement.
02 / Conditional forwarding
Use the instructions for the actual provider.
T-Mobile and Verizon publish different conditional-forwarding instructions. Follow the provider documentation for the line being configured. An iPhone does not make carrier star codes universal, and wireless instructions should not be applied to a landline or hosted phone account.
For AT&T or another provider, confirm whether the specific service supports the required condition and how to manage it. Record the current configuration before making an authorized change. Obtain the correct answering destination through the supported Revo onboarding process rather than guessing a number.
03 / Conditional forwarding
Test the route and keep a provider-specific rollback.
Test an ordinary answered call and the chosen conditional path with authorized participants. Check the destination, caller experience and no-answer behavior. Verify whether the forwarded call bypasses the original voicemail and whether the receiving service has a supported fallback.
Keep the provider’s cancellation or reset instructions available. Deactivation methods differ across providers and conditions. After rollback, test that the original phone rings and its intended voicemail works. If calls still do not arrive, use the separate deactivation diagnostic guide rather than repeating setup changes.
Common questions
Make the next step clear.
Resolve the details that matter to your team and callers.
Does conditional forwarding change my number?
It routes incoming calls under supported conditions; it is not the same as porting the number to another provider.
Is there one code for all carriers?
No. Provider, line type and condition matter. Use the official instructions applicable to the service being configured.
