Upfirst AI answering service: calls, plans and workflow

Upfirst is an AI answering option with call-based allowances. A home-service business evaluating it alongside Revo should compare the number of billable conversations, the configured calendar and the way callers reach the team. Published by Revo; public sources reviewed October 20, 2026. Examples are editorial evaluation steps, not customer results.

Use the call allowance, not a minute assumption

Upfirst’s published monthly Starter plan is $24.95 for 30 calls with $1.50 additional calls. Premium is $59.95 for 90, with $1 extras; Pro is $159.95 for 300, with $0.75 extras. Annual figures are displayed separately. The page lists scheduling and transfers; confirm the exact supported configuration before relying on them.

These figures are a dated USD snapshot, not an all-in quote. A call allowance cannot be compared directly with handled minutes without stating the workload.

Make returning callers part of the evaluation

For an illustrative garage-door business, test a homeowner asking for an estimate, then the same person calling to change the preferred time. Keep billable call count separate from the number of unique customers and completed appointments.

Ask what happens to short calls, repeated calls, unwanted calls and transfers in the chosen plan. Use the written definition in your estimate. A business with long project conversations and one with many short scheduling questions may produce very different minute totals at the same call count.

Check the calendar result and the handoff

Give the service the appointment types, service area and availability rules your office actually permits. Check the calendar after a test call and verify whether a slot was confirmed or a request was only recorded. A listed calendar connection is not proof that your booking rules are already configured.

Include a call the office must handle itself. Verify the transfer destination, what information reaches the person and what happens if the person cannot answer. Do not treat phone answering as a promise to dispatch a technician.

Compare Upfirst and Revo against one workload

Revo’s current plans are published in minutes, with some features depending on tier. Use the Pricing page for the relevant offering rather than an old comparison. Keep the same expected calls, durations and required tasks in both proposals.

Illustrative arithmetic for 45 billable calls on Upfirst Starter gives $47.45 before other applicable charges: $24.95 plus 15 × $1.50. That calculation does not establish the cost of the same workload on Revo because the handled minutes and any additional capacity terms still need to be established.

Common questions

Make the next step clear.

Resolve the details that matter to your team and callers.

Is Upfirst’s call allowance a minute bundle?

No. The reviewed plans use calls. Confirm the billable-call definition and compare the same calls and durations with a minute-based proposal.

Does a scheduling feature guarantee a booked field visit?

No. Test the configured calendar, permitted appointment types and final state. Dispatch and technician availability remain separate decisions.
